Product: PerlDesk (Source Version)
We have updated the PerlDesk download to version 2.2 Build 13, this releases features fixes and enhancements.
New Features
a) Improved the formatting of response and other email templates.
Fixes included in 2.2 Build 13
a) Fixed the lost password email sometimes generating a blank email.
b) Fixed the 'addtokb' error
c) Fixed formatting when logging a ticket containing "" doublequotes (together).
d) Enhanced Due Date on response to ensure it is saved when previously set, thus not rendering it null.
Upgrade Instructions
Upgrading is simple, and is the usual process. Always BACKUP your database before performing an upgrade!!
a) Download the new release and upload/extract the files on the target machine where PerlDesk already exists. Overwrite all files with the new ones, including images, template and lib folders.
b) Re-set the path's in the email.cgi and pop-email.cgi immediately to ensure mail handling does not get affected by the upgrade.
c) Open up the admin.cgi in your browser, as if you would when normally logging in. If a database update is needed you will be taken to the upgrade screen where you should select Upgrade from XX (Your current version) to 2.2. If it does not forward you to this screen automatically there is no need to run this. It is vitally important you select the correct upgrade file, please take care when doing this.
